As part of the pilot program for a university-wide housing renewal project, Harvard underwent a gut renovation of the existing 56,000 SF neo-Georgian Old Quincy House. The house required an extensive renovation to meet the evolving needs of today’s students, relieve overcrowding, and comply with energy efficiency standards. TG Gallagher was contracted to install the HVAC system to serve a combination of room clusters and suites that include more single bedrooms for increased privacy, and technology-enhanced study areas. Prior to the renovations, TG Gallagher had performed fire protection system upgrades. TG Gallagher’s knowledge of the building and the neighboring residential community were critical components to the project’s success.
