Maureen Wilken Science Center

Emmanuel College
Boston, Massachusetts

Emmanuel College is a co-educational residential Catholic college, serving more than 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students. The college is located in the heart of Boston’s Longwood Medical and Academic area. To help advance the college's educational mission to build distinctive programs among the liberal arts and sciences, the college constructed a 47,500 SF science building. The new science center includes laboratories, classrooms, and offices for the biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, and neuroscience departments. TG Gallagher installed the new HVAC system for the building, which features rooftop units, gas fired boilers, and new centrifugal chillers. The project was broken into several phases, the last of which was to renovate the adjacent administration building.  TG Gallagher worked closely with the entire construction team to prevent interruptions to campus activities around the site and within the occupied adjacent administration building during construction of the science center.
