Berklee College of Music
Boston, Massachusetts

Know primarily as a school for jazz, rock, and popular music, Berklee College of Music is the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world. The college has embarked on a multi-year plan to expand its campus, with the first phase being the construction of its first ground-up building. The student housing experience is as much of a part of the college learning experience as the classroom. The 174,000 SF structure provides new housing for more than 300 students, a two-story cafeteria, a performance center, and recording studios on campus. TG Gallagher installed the plumbing system for the 16-story mixed-use building.  With the extensive use of prefabrication and the Trimble Total Station to lay out hangers and bang-its, TG Gallagher was able to stay ahead of the aggressive construction schedule while providing a safe, efficient work environment.
