One of the nation’s largest sciences real estate moguls has achieved its success by specializing in the development of science and technology campuses that form novelty urban communities. Formerly used as a truck route and commuter pass-through, Binney Street is swiftly transforming into a biotech cluster that contains restaurants, pharmaceutical companies, and housing. Located adjacent to the 75-125 Binney Street project, the company’s latest undertaking is an eight-story apartment building that will house 100-units. TG Gallagher is providing a full-array of services for 270 Third Street including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
With a project timeline of just 14 months, TG Gallagher aggressively pre-fabricated systems to expedite the installation. As steel was being erected TG Gallagher was pre-fabricating piping systems and equipment skids. The goal of hoisting mechanical penthouse skids immediately after topping off was achieved handily, not only allowing Gilbane to start finish trades much sooner but also helping the project achieve its aggressive schedule.
