OSHA Requirements For Qualified Signal Person And Qualified Riggers Becomes Enforceable November 8th, 2010
OSHA’s new standard of Cranes and Derricks in Construction became enforceable on November 8th, 2010. OSHA 1926 Subpart CC requires that riggers and signal persons become “qualified” before starting the work. In our ongoing effort to stay on top of the most current rules and regulations in construction, we recently trained over 25 of our field staff in the latest safety protocols for rigging and crane work. Training was conducted in-house by our full time safety director, Matt McKenzie, who utilized our 40 person training room and brought a crane to our office for life training.
