Cambridge, MA – Thomas G. Gallagher, Inc. has been named to Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America. The list is compiled each year and, together with profiles of each company, can be found at www.inc5000.com.
Inc.5000 companies are ranked by their growth percentages over the past three years. Thomas G. Gallagher grew 47.4% over that time. “We’ve been helped by expansion in the greater Boston healthcare sector,” says CEO Brian Potter, “since one of our specialties is the installation and service of mechanical systems for that industry.
“It’s a pretty significant achievement,” adds Potter, “because this hasn’t exactly been a robust economy, but we’ve managed to grow and continue to serve our clients.”
He anticipates more growth for T.G. Gallagher in the area of “green” building. Potter recently earned certification as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional, making him fully qualified to help projects attain this widely accepted standard for sustainable green building and development practices.
The highest concentration of Inc.5000 companies for 2008 (355) is found in the New York metro area, with the Washington, D.C. metro area a close second (300). The list reports an aggregate revenue of $185 billion for all 5000 companies. The most notable median growth categories are Energy (298%) and Government Services (220%).
The Inc.5000 is the most comprehensive portrait of fast-growing private companies assembled anywhere. Each profile is researched and reported by one of dozens of writers; most profiles include interviews with company CEOs.
